How to: Recreate the TELEPHON.INI file.
Solution:
Run Tapiini.exe, which is located in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
NOTE: Telephon.ini contains default settings.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Run...'. (The 'Run' dialog box appears.)
3) Type the following in the 'Open' box and click 'OK':
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TAPIINI.EXE
(where C:\WINDOWS is the drive letter and directory that contains Windows 95) (TELEPHON.INI will be recreated and store all settings for TAPI-enabled applications such as Fax and Dial-Up Networking.)
